Day Nursery

Ditchingham Day Nursery was founded in 1991. It is located within the Convent grounds, offering your child safe countryside walks and the opportunity to see a selection of wildlife and flowers in the well-maintained gardens.

The nursery is currently registered to take up to 30 children at any one time. Open all year, we offer hourly sessions for parents to provide greater flexibility and accommodate different working patterns. Funded sessions for over threes are provided in line with government regulations.

Please contact us for information on our hourly fees.

We offer care and attention to all young children by providing:

  • A safe and stable environment, where each child is treated as an individual, whose needs including special needs are respected
  • Positive relationships between carer and child, which are warm and affectionate, sensitive and responsive
  • Good relationships between parents and carers
  • A spacious building with indoor and outdoor play areas
  • An environment that offers equality to all
  • A wide variety of equipment and activities to promote physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and encourage development towards the early learning goals

"Children have access to an extensive range of resources which meets their needs in all areas of development. Theses are easily accessible from low level shelving and floor based containers, this ensures children have equal access and gain independence through making appropriate choices" Ofsted report October 2006

"My daughter has been attending DDN since the age of 8 months old.. She will be 4 in February. We have enjoyed our time at the nursery immensely and cannot fault the care and support that staff have provided" Parent testimonial
